When Do I Need an Eye Exam?

The American Optometric Association recommends that adults 65 and over have an annual eye exam. Adults between the age of 18 and 64 should have an exam every 2 years. After examining your eyes, we may recommend a greater frequency, especially if there are any underlying conditions.

As you age, you may develop eye diseases and conditions like glaucoma, cataracts, or age-related macular degeneration. Often, these diseases have no early signs or symptoms until they are in an advanced stage, so it’s important to have a professional examine your eyes regularly.
