Oliver Peoples

Oliver Peoples

Oliver Peoples started in 1986 when opticians Larry and Dennis Leight fulfilled their dream and opened their first optical boutique on Sunset Boulevard. Earlier that year, they purchased an estate collection of vintage American-made eyewear that included a receipt signed with the name "Oliver Peoples", whom they reasoned was the original owner or distributor. In 1987, the Oliver Peoples collection—inspired by the vintage frames purchased in the estate sale—was introduced as wholesale.  Today, Oliver Peoples' retro-inspired eyewear is extremely popular, known for its lack of logos and its cool, sophisticated style.

  Dita

Dita

Life-long friends Jeff Solorio and John Juniper are the co-founders of Dita and the driving forces behind Dita's celebrated designs. Since 1996 Dita has been making stylish eyewear inspired by vintage frames from the 50's through the 80's. Utilizing modern materials and shapes, Dita's designs distinguish themselves with quality, look and fit. Dita's logo details are intentionally subtle so that the frame itself defines the look rather than the logo. This allows the design of the frame to complement features of the wearer and contribute to their overall style. Dita frames are hand made in Japan and use only the highest quality materials: titanium, 18K gold, white gold and the finest Japanese zyl acetates.
